The “BUNDA Sydney Heist” model started as a shower thought, and quickly turned into a month-long obsession. What followed were countless trips to art stores, CAD files big enough to crash a small Wi-Fi network, and the slow realisation that once you start caring about details at this scale, there’s no going back.
The entire model was assembled by hand, usually late at night, with the facade of the building being 3D printed, as well as our little men. It was a fiddly, and strangely addictive project, the kind that refuses to let you stop until every detail feels just right.
Somewhere between refining the model and rewiring it for the third time, the question behind the heist became clear: What actually makes something precious? In placing BUNDA jewels at the centre of the scene, the answer felt obvious. Value isn’t just about rarity, it’s about beauty, intention, and the story an object carries with it. Much like a BUNDA piece, the most precious things are crafted slowly, obsessed over quietly, and made to last long after the moment that inspired them.
